Care of the Neonate within the Ward Environment (GOSH/LSBU Partnership) (Level 7)

Program Overview

This degree module equips healthcare practitioners with knowledge and skills for essential neonatal care. Through expert sessions and simulation training, participants gain a deep understanding of neonatal health concerns, family-centered care, and mental health.

Program Outline

The importance of family centred care, mental health for both parents and neonates as well as bereavement will also be explored. Visiting clinical experts and simulations sessions in a state of the art SIM suite will ensure the practitioners are exposed to high level, clinically relevant and up to date knowledge which will enhance their understanding of current neonatal issues, advance their practice and ensure the neonatal population are receiving evidence based care throughout their hospital stay.
