Program Overview


he MSc (Health Psychology) is a one-year full-time or two-year part-time programme of academic study in the discipline of health psychology. The programme is fully accredited by the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). Health Psychology is concerned with the application of psychological theory, research, and practice to the promotion and maintenance of health; the identification and amelioration of psychological factors contributing to physical illness and the improvement of the health care system and formulation of health policy.

Degree Overview:

This is a two-year, part-time MSc in Oral Surgery offered by the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan). The program is designed for busy dental practitioners who want to combine home study with treating patients under the direct clinical supervision of experienced consultants and specialists. The program has evolved from a previous three-year MSc Oral Surgery program and has been redesigned based on student feedback. The program aims to prepare students to provide safe and appropriate oral surgery treatment as part of their clinical practice.

The program consists of twenty days of supervised clinical training, with academic teaching delivered online. The program is structured as follows:
