Middle Childhood Education-Social Studies (4-9) Additional Licensure Preparation

Program Overview

The Middle Childhood Education-Social Studies (4-9) Additional Licensure Preparation program provides courses and field-based experiences for students who plan to apply for additional teacher licensure from the Ohio Department of Education. Students must complete 60% of the coursework at Kent State University, which must be completed within 6 years, after which they may sit for applicable licensure or certification in Ohio. The program does not culminate in a master's degree.
