Program Overview
The Business for Non-Business Majors Minor equips non-business majors with foundational knowledge in accounting, economics, marketing, management, and entrepreneurship. By completing five courses, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of business principles and practices, enhancing their career prospects in various fields. A minimum GPA of 2.50 is required to earn the minor, with at least three courses taken at an AACSB-accredited institution.

- ACCT 2000 ACCOUNTING BASICS FOR NON-BUSINESS MAJORS (3 credits)
- ECON 2200 PRINCIPLES OF ECONOMICS (MICRO) (3 credits)
- MKT 3310 PRINCIPLES OF MARKETING (3 credits)

Other Requirements:
- A grade of C (2.00) or better is required for a course to apply to the Business minor.
- An overall 2.50 GPA within the Minor is required to earn the minor.

Entry Requirements:
- Academic requirements: A minimum of a second-class honours degree (2.1 preferred) or equivalent in a relevant subject. Applicants without these formal qualifications but with significant appropriate/relevant work/life experience are encouraged to apply.
- Professional experience: You must be a professional currently working in a relevant field or a carer/volunteer with experience of supporting individuals with dementia. They also provide an introduction to online learning and the approach taken by the team here at Stirling.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- If English is not your first language you must have one of the following qualifications as evidence of your English language skills:
- IELTS Academic or UKVI 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each sub-skill.
- Pearson Test of English (Academic) 61 overall with 56 in each sub-skill.
- IBT TOEFL 80 overall with 18 in reading, 23 in writing, 19 in listening and 21 in speaking.
