This innovative teacher education program will ensure you have developed appropriate knowledge, expertise and professional skills required for teaching in both primary and secondary schools.

• To qualify graduates to teach all year levels from foundation/pre-primary to year 12.
• To develop graduates who are inspiring, flexible and ethical educators.
• To equip graduates with the skills to support all students to reach their full potential.
• To prepare graduates to build and sustain relationships with students and educational stakeholders.
• To enable graduates to meet the challenges of dynamic educational contexts.
• To encourage graduates to engage in classroom research to continuously improve their educational impact.

Teaching:

• The course is delivered in blended mode, combining online study with short periods of intensive face-to-face learning in beautiful Albany in WA’s southwest.
• Students can pursue this course from anywhere in Australia and undertake their professional practice placements close to home.

Careers:

• Graduates could teach in the public, private or Catholic school sectors, in Australia or overseas (depending on other countries’ requirements).

• The subject areas (majors and minors) offered in this course are English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Science (HASS) and Science.
• As part of this course, you'll undertake a total of 17 days of study at the UWA Albany Centre, located in the beautiful Great Southern region.
• This course is subsidised by the Australian Government as a Commonwealth supported place (CSP).
