Degree Overview:

Combine your interests of music and technology in this creative-focused major. The Electronic Music and Sound Design major explores artistic and technical aspects of the field toward creating professional, industry relevant electronic/digital music compositions. Studio and lab-based units allow students to think creatively, to invent and to innovate. Via small and large-scale creative projects, students develop expertise in electronic/digital music composition, sound design and production—skills applicable to a range of creative and technical professions. The Electronic Music and Sound Design major culminates in a major project of the student's choosing, and accommodates a wide range of individual interest, such as an album of electronic works, a live performance / exhibition, film/animation scoring or music for video games.

Elise Reitze-Swensen, a music and composition graduate, is a full-time multi-instrumentalist, composer, music producer, sound designer, music community founder, record label CEO and booking agency CEO. She teaches Electronic Music and Sound Design at UWA.
