Program Overview
The Master of Clinical Pathology program deepens understanding in biomedical sciences, providing a combination of core and specialization units in clinical pathology. It equips students for research or employment in diagnostic and research environments, and is fully accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS). The program offers both coursework and research dissertation options, and includes practical experience through clinical pathology practica.

Other:
The Master of Clinical Pathology (MCP) is fully accredited by the Australian Institute of Medical and Clinical Scientists (AIMS). AIMS is the peak professional body representing medical scientists in Australia in all disciplines of medical laboratory science. Accreditation by AIMS is a requirement for employment as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in most laboratories in Australia. The UWA MCP program is one of only three postgraduate programs accredited by AIMS in Australasia, the first at a Go8 university, and the only one with an accredited research stream. Please note that this program is currently undergoing re-accreditation with AIMs and UWA has received verbal confirmation of the re-accreditation for a period of 4 years.
