Police Foundations (Fast Track)
Program Overview
This law enforcement program equips students with theoretical foundations in communication, ethics, interpersonal skills, and police practices. Graduates develop strong fitness skills and aptitude for careers in law enforcement, with opportunities to participate in fitness tests and enhance their candidacy. The program emphasizes ethical and professional conduct, community policing, and respect for human rights, preparing students for roles in municipal, provincial, and federal police services.

Degree Overview:
This program provides students with the knowledge, fitness skills, and aptitudes necessary for a career in law enforcement. The curriculum focuses on building a strong theoretical foundation in communication, ethics, and interpersonal skills. Graduates will be equipped with the fundamentals of police investigation techniques, procedures, and community policing. The program is designed for students who are community-minded, possess good moral character, and have strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to handle stressful situations and maintain a high level of physical fitness is also essential.
Program Highlights:
- Students have opportunities to participate in and improve their performance in various law enforcement fitness tests, including PREP, Police Fitness Pin, PARE, and FITCO.
- The program is delivered in 12 consecutive months, allowing students to pursue a second "fast track" law enforcement program, earning two relevant diplomas in just two years. This enhances their candidacy for law enforcement positions.
Career Opportunities:
Graduates are prepared for roles in municipal, provincial, and federal police services, private security, and as special constables and campus police.
