Mechanical Engineering Technology - Automotive Product Design is a three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program offered at St. Clair College's Windsor Campus.


Objectives:

The program aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills to:

  • Analyze, design, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems.
  • Develop a strong understanding of core concepts like mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and energy.
  • Apply these concepts to automotive processes.
  • Design and analyze motor vehicles, aircraft, heating and cooling systems, watercraft, manufacturing plants, industrial machinery, and automation.

  • State-of-the-art training facility: The program utilizes the on-site Ford Centre for Excellence in Manufacturing.
  • Credit Transfer Program: Students can transfer credits to the University of Windsor Faculty of Engineering and other universities.
  • Field Trips and Events: Students participate in field trips to local design and manufacturing facilities and attend events/conferences related to the mobility sector.
  • Skills Competitions: Students excel in Provincial and National Skills Competitions in Mechanical CAD.
  • Hands-on Training: Automotive-focused course labs provide practical experience in the Automotive building at St. Clair College.
