Degree Overview:
- Program Description: The Hairstyling (Fast Track) program equips students with advanced cutting techniques for both male and female clients, hair texturing services (perming and chemical hair relaxing), hair coloring, color correction, foiling techniques, and current color trends. Students also learn "updo" styling for bridal and prom work, braiding, and extension installation and maintenance.
- Program Highlights:
- Clinical and lab experience.
- Students can earn credits towards apprenticeship.
- Industry-specific field trips and involvement in community charity events.
- Students who complete their 1500 hours of in-school training receive a diploma and can apply those hours towards the Ministry required 3,500 total hours (including 2000 hours of on-the-job training as a Registered Apprentice) before challenging the Certificate of Qualification exam.
