Program Overview
The Environmental Engineering Minor is open to engineering majors who wish to supplement their studies with knowledge in environmental or water resources engineering. Students must complete four required courses and two elective courses from a list of options. Independent study, research, or a senior project may also be used to fulfill requirements with advisor approval.

Degree Overview:
The Minor in Environmental Engineering is designed for students majoring in engineering who want to gain additional knowledge in environmental or water resources engineering. It is intended for students whose current major complements these topics. The Minor is not available to students pursuing a Civil Engineering degree.

- CIVIL 132 - Intro to Environmental Engineering: 4 credits
- CIVIL 130 - Fluid Mechanics I: 4 credits
- CIVIL 130L - Fluid Mechanics I (Lab): 1 credit

- BENG 130 - Biotransport: 4 credits
- CIVIL 133 - Water Resources Engineering: 4 credits
- CIVIL 134 - Groundwater: 4 credits
- CIVIL 136 - Design of Water Quality Control Facilities: 4 credits
- CIVIL 138 - Solid Waste Systems Design and Management: 4 credits
- CIVIL 171 - Water and Environmental Policy: 3 credits

Other:
- Up to 3 units of related independent study, undergraduate research, or a senior project may be used to meet the minor requirements, but students must consult with their academic advisor beforehand.
