  • SLU's forensic science faculty offers the academic and practical experience to deliver high-impact instruction and provide the tools to work for social justice in the spirit of Catholic, Jesuit education.
  • A minor in forensic science allows students to apply scientific principles to various career fields such as psychology, criminal justice, biology, and chemistry.

  • FRSC 3150X True Crime: Forensic and Literary Perspectives (3 cr) also counts as a Collaborative Inquiry and Writing Intensive course for the Undergraduate University CORE.
  • FRSC 3620 Forensic Chemistry (2 cr) & FRSC 3621 Forensic Chemistry Laboratory (1 cr) and FRSC 3630 Forensic Biology (2 cr) & FRSC 3631 Forensic Biology Laboratory (1 cr) have prerequisites of additional Biology and/or Chemistry courses and are geared towards students majoring in a Natural Science such as Biology or Chemistry.
  • Students with a minor in forensic science must maintain a 2.00 GPA in their forensic science minor coursework.
