Objectives:

The program aims to provide outstanding theological studies majors with the opportunity to begin their M.A. program in their senior year. This allows them to complete their M.A. in theology with a full-time fifth year of graduate study after successfully completing both the first-year requirements and their undergraduate degree and major.


Program Description:

  • Students complete their undergraduate degree and major in Theological Studies.
  • In their senior year, they begin taking graduate courses towards their M.A.
  • in Theological Studies.
  • After graduating with their B.A., students complete the remaining M.A.
  • requirements in a full-time fifth year of graduate study.
  • The program allows students to count two graduate courses (six credits) towards both their B.A.
  • and M.A. degrees, reducing the time needed to complete the M.A. to 12-14 months after receiving their bachelor's degree.

Other:

  • Students must maintain a 2.00 GPA in courses approved for completion of the Theological Studies major.
  • Students with a major GPA below 2.00 will be placed on academic program probation within the department.
  • Students can remain on academic probation for a maximum of two consecutive semesters or three semesters total before being dismissed from the major.
