Program Overview

This 15-credit Spanish minor program requires Intermediate Spanish I and II, plus nine elective credits from a selection of history and Spanish courses. Students with prior preparation may substitute other 300-level Spanish courses. The program provides a foundation in Spanish language and culture, preparing students for careers or further study in Hispanic studies.

• HIST 323 Contemporary Hispanic World to 1955 (3 credits)
• HIST 324 Contemporary Hispanic World, 1955-Today (3 credits)
• SPAN 3XX Spanish course at the 300 level or above (3 credits)
• SPAN 211 Latin American and Spanish Cinema (3 credits)
• Total Credits: 15

• Students with sufficient prior preparation may petition the Spanish program to substitute any other 300-level course.
