Program Overview
The LLM Media Law, Privacy and Defamation is an innovative, flexible programme that will provide you with an in-depth knowledge of media law, privacy and defamation in practice. You will explore issues such as the legal and administrative regulation of mainstream media publication, the role of the media and communication in society, as well as content issues on social media. You’ll also have the opportunity to consider freedom of expression, freedom of the press, the right to reputation, and the application of data protection and privacy rules to online advertising.

Degree Overview:
This program is a 1-year certificate program designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to become skilled and compassionate healthcare providers. As a Personal Support Worker, graduates will assist clients with physical and psychosocial challenges across all life stages.
Key Program Highlights:
- Unique Interprofessional Education: The program features a course designed to strengthen collaboration skills within the healthcare team.
- Hands-on Experience: Students gain 42 hours of hands-on experience in a living lab at a local long-term care facility and 266 hours of clinical placement in both long-term care and community settings.
- Additional Certificates: Graduates receive two additional certificates:
- Managing Food Safety: Focuses on food preparation.
- Gentle Persuasive Approach: Focuses on caring for individuals with dementia and other cognitive diseases.
- Pathway to Practical Nursing: Niagara College graduates of this program, or students currently enrolled in their last level, have the opportunity to bridge into term two of NC's Practical Nursing diploma program. This application is open to domestic students only.

- Program Requirements: Students are required to meet specific government mandates, including a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screen, Confidential Communicable Disease Surveillance (CDS), and current Standard First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Transportation: Students are responsible for their own transportation to complete program requirements, which may not be readily accessible by public transportation.
- Computer/Technology Requirements: Students are required to have a Microsoft Windows 10 based desktop or laptop system that meets specific requirements.
