Degree Overview:
The B.A. in Creative Writing at Oregon State University aims to develop students' skills as artful and imaginative writers and critical thinkers. Outline:
The program begins with an introduction to the primary genres of fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction. Students will identify areas of focus in one or two genres, pursuing courses in craft development and workshop intensives.
Teaching:
Students will study with acclaimed faculty of writers and scholars who have published over 40 books. The faculty is actively engaged in the literary community, hosting national radio shows and leading local arts initiatives. They are deeply committed to teaching and mentoring students.
