The Higher Diploma in Science in Computing is a graduate conversion program designed for individuals with non-computing backgrounds who wish to pursue a career in the IT industry. The program provides students with the skills and knowledge necessary to start a career in software development, database management, ICT infrastructure, systems analysis, testing, user experience, web, mobile, and cloud development.


Outline:


Year One Semester 1

  • Architecture, Operating Systems and Networks (Mandatory)
  • Software Development Fundamentals (Mandatory)
  • Systems Analysis and Testing (Mandatory)
  • Web and UI Design (Mandatory)
  • Data Analysis (Elective)
  • OO Software Development Principles (Elective)

Schedule:

  • Year 1: Mondays (bi-weekly), Wednesdays (weekly) & Thursdays (weekly) (18:00-22:00)
  • Year 2: Wednesdays (bi-weekly) & Thursdays (bi-weekly) (18:00-22:00)
