Degree Overview:

The Intensive Care: Adult Practice CPD Level 6 is a credit-bearing double module course designed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to provide expert and evidence-based care to critically ill adults.

Objective: The course aims to enable participants to deliver expert and evidence-based care to critically ill adults with multiple pathophysiological problems, including multi-organ failure.
Program Description: The course emphasizes the application of critical care principles in managing complex patients.
Target Audience: The course is specifically designed for registered nurses working in an adult intensive care environment with a minimum of 12 months post-qualifying experience, including at least 12 months in a level 3 intensive care setting.
Course Focus: The course prepares participants to effectively manage the care of a level 3 patient, aligned with the Intensive Care Society (2019) Guidelines for the Provision of Intensive Care Services.
Content and Scope: The program includes aspects of Step 2 and 3 of National Competencies for Adult Critical Care Nurses.
