Minor in Electrical Engineering
Program Overview
The Minor in Electrical Engineering at SF State provides students from other disciplines a foundation in electrical engineering. Core courses cover circuit theory, electronics, linear systems, and digital logic. Students can select electives to specialize in areas of interest. The minor requires a minimum GPA of 2.0 and at least 12 units taken at SF State, with 6 upper-division units required.

- ENGR 353 Microelectronics (3 units)

- Electives (6 units): Approved upper-division electrical engineering courses. No upper-division course from the major can be double-counted for the minor or second major.
Other:
Students must complete at least 12 of the required 22 core and elective units at SF State. All courses must be taken for a letter grade (CR/NC is not acceptable). At least 6 upper-division units are required. Students must have completed the following prerequisite requirements:
- MATH 226 Calculus I (4 units)
- MATH 227 Calculus II (4 units)
- MATH 228 Calculus III (4 units)
- MATH 245 Elementary Differential Equations and Linear Algebra (3 units)
- PHYS 230 & PHYS 232 General Physics with Calculus II and General Physics with Calculus II Laboratory (4 units)
