The Earth Sciences minor requires a total of 15 units.
Required Courses (6 units):
- ERTH 400 Earth Systems I (3 units)
- ERTH 500 Earth Systems II (3 units)
Electives (9 units):
- Complete at least 9 units of selected Earth & Climate Sciences (ERTH) (or closely related) coursework in consultation with a Department of Earth & Climate Sciences faculty advisor.
- At least 6 of the 9 units must come from courses with the ERTH prefix.
- At least 6 of the 9 units must be upper division coursework.
- No more than 3 of the 9 units can come from a course designed primarily for General Education (such as 300-level ERTH courses).
Other:
- All coursework used to satisfy the requirements of the minor must be completed with a minimum grade point average of 2.0.
- A minimum of 6 upper-division units are required to complete the minor.
