Program Overview
The BSc (Hons) in Real Estate at Oxford Brookes University is a three-year full-time or six-year part-time program accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the real estate industry. The Wine Professional Technical certificate in the Viticulture and Enology program is a 12-semester hour certificate that introduces students to the service/sales side of the wine industry. It covers all aspects of wine production, wine marketing, sensory analysis, and social media. This program is designed for individuals seeking careers in the hospitality sector, tasting room sales/management, or wine club management. Graduates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in specialized knowledge/applied learning, communication fluency, and critical thinking. Specifically, they will be able to:
- Communicate clearly and appropriately the basics of the winemaking process.
- Research and apply knowledge learned to develop a successful marketing plan in a saturated industry.
- Demonstrate a broad, comprehensive knowledge of sensory evaluation and the process of identifying a wine.

- All CMU/WCCC technical certificate graduates are expected to demonstrate proficiency in specialized knowledge/applied learning, communication fluency, and critical thinking.
- Graduates must have a 2.00 cumulative GPA or higher in all CMU/WCCC coursework.
- A grade lower than “C” will not be counted toward meeting the requirements.
- A course may only be used to fulfill one requirement for each degree/certificate.
- Non-traditional credit cannot exceed twenty-five percent of the semester credit hours required for a technical certificate.
- Pre-collegiate courses cannot be used for graduation.
- The Catalog Year determines which program sheet and certificate requirements a student must fulfill in order to graduate.
