The Master of Arts in Sustainability Studies program at Trent University is a thesis-based program that aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to address critical environmental, economic, social, and cultural challenges facing the world. - Co-op field placement: Students in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management stream have the opportunity to gain practical experience through a full-time co-op field placement in the second year of the program.
- Action Research: The program encourages students to conduct action research that contributes directly to existing scholarship and professional practice related to environmental sustainability, economic prosperity, and social responsibility.

- Students in the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management stream will receive complementary course instruction in research methods, professional development, and entrepreneurship.

- Students can participate in the program's co-op field placement to gain practical experience.
