This specialization combines Indigenous knowledge and business practices to develop students' abilities in modern business environments. Students explore Indigenous economic development, sustainability, and community engagement through courses in Indigenous studies, environmental science, and business administration. Graduates are prepared for careers in Indigenous business, community development, and other fields where cultural understanding and business acumen are essential.

Degree Overview:

This specialization brings together Indigenous knowledges and ideologies with contemporary business practices while developing students’ abilities to work with mindfulness and agility in the 21st century business environment. Business majors have the unique opportunity to connect to their business education with a knowledge of lessons learned through the history of Indigenous economic development.


Outline:

Students who have fulfilled the requirements for a Bachelor of Business Administration or a joint-major Honours degree in Business Administration may graduate with a Specialization in Niigaaniiwin—The Art of Leading, if they have successfully completed the following 3.5 credits with a minimum grade of 65% in each:
