This program offers a co-op stream, allowing students to gain 12 months of paid work experience through three full-time work terms. Students can work with local news media, marketing agencies, or various arts, entertainment, business, or culture organizations. The program also offers opportunities to put learning into practice through workshops, internships, and community-based research courses, working with media professionals from organizations such as Artspace, Global TV, Trent Radio, ReFrame Film Festival, and the Royal Academy of Dance. Students can also build their portfolio with both new and old media by composing music, coding video games, writing blogs, or editing films. The program also makes use of new technology like 3D printing and virtual reality in Trent's Critical Making Studio.
