Program Overview
This hands-on Kinesiology program equips students with the skills to analyze movement and prescribe exercise programs. Through practical labs and community engagement, students gain expertise in working with diverse populations, from athletes to seniors. Graduates are prepared for careers in kinesiology-related fields such as physiotherapy, sports coaching, and health promotion. The program also includes integrated courses with Trent's Nursing program, providing a comprehensive understanding of human health and movement.
Program Outline
Degree Overview:
This hands-on, career-track degree teaches students the knowledge and skills to become a practitioner of kinesiology (the study of human movement). You will learn how to prescribe customized exercise programs and analyze movement patterns for a variety of people. As a Trent Kinesiology student, you are encouraged to apply your learning – in the lab and out in the community – working with everyone from high-performance athletes to senior citizens. When you graduate, you will have the required expertise to pursue certification as a registered kinesiologist (R.Kin.).

- Physiotherapist: Physiotherapists assess patients and plan and carry out individually designed treatment programs to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning and mobility, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.
