Degree Overview:
This integrated degree-diploma program at Trent Durham GTA, offered in collaboration with Durham College, gives students the opportunity to develop career-ready skills in journalism, social media, and content creation. In just four years, you will graduate with a university degree in Media Studies with an Option in Creative Writing and a college diploma in Journalism/Mass Media. Spend your first year on Trent’s Durham campus in the Greater Toronto Area, building foundational skills in writing and critical thinking. Years two and three are mostly spent at Durham College, developing practical skills in journalism and broadcasting in modern facilities. With immersive courses and hands-on field placements you will learn the techniques and strategies to create engaging content, fine-tune your writing ability, and cultivate leadership, project planning, and collaborative skills.
