Program Overview


This multidisciplinary Global Development Studies specialization examines the complex social, political, economic, and environmental aspects of human migration. Students learn from global experts in diverse fields, engage in hands-on experiences through study abroad programs and community collaborations, and develop a global understanding of critical migration issues. This specialization prepares students for careers in human rights, settlement services, international development, and policy analysis.

  • Students have the opportunity to gain a global perspective on migration issues through the Trent-in-Ghana Program or complete a 4-6 week field course in Turkey or Ecuador.
