The Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) is designed for students with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education. The program allows students to earn their degree 100% online or to choose to learn in person. The MAT is designed for individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a field other than education, who have no formal teacher training and wish to enter the rewarding profession of teaching. The program is a great fit for individuals wanting to change careers or for recent graduates. The program is accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) and the Maryland State Department of Education.
