- Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (30 credits) It covers multimedia source representation, lossless/lossy compression methods, and transmission strategies over communication systems and networks. It covers channel propagation characteristics, modulation and coding techniques, wireless system characteristics and performance limits, analysis and design methods, and real-world wireless systems like WLAN, WMAN, WPAN, GPRS/UMTS/3G/4G, and beyond networks. Advanced technologies like ultra-wideband communications and cognitive radio are also discussed. This module encourages students to develop their research skills, critical analysis, problem-solving abilities, and professional communication skills.
