This two-year work-based Foundation Degree in Special Educational Needs & Inclusive Practice (SENIP) allows students to develop their practice, connect with a supportive network, and complete the first two years of an undergraduate degree, which can be topped up to a full degree with the Special Educational Needs & Inclusive Practice BA (Hons) top-up degree course. The program combines academic study with work-based learning, requiring students to work or volunteer 16 hours per week within an early years setting, school, college, or alternative provision. The curriculum delves into developmental theories, systems to support learning, legislative frameworks that govern practice, multi-professional perspectives, and working with families and carers. - Professional Development through Reflective Practice in Special Educational Needs: This module explores the knowledge and skills required for higher education, examining academic terminology and reflective practice in a work-based environment. Students study theories, legislation, and data-gathering techniques, relating them to practical application.
