The Skipper Coastal and Offshore program is a Level 5 qualification, providing learners with advanced maritime skills and knowledge. It caters to individuals who already possess a Skipper Restricted Limits (SRL) certificate of competency (endorsed to 24 metres) and are seeking to further their career in the maritime industry.

Programme Structure:
- The program comprises nine courses totaling 85 credits.
- It is delivered in a block format, lasting 17 weeks.
- Learners have the flexibility to take block courses across consecutive years, allowing for completion within a maximum of 5 years.
- The courses are structured as follows:
- 942.210 STCW basic safety training basic sea survival (5 credits): This module teaches safe and sustainable work practices, effective communication, and emergency response onboard a vessel.
Level 4:
- 942.450 STCW basic safety training basic fire fighting (5 credits): This module focuses on applying safe work practices, contributing to effective communication, and responding to a fire emergency onboard a vessel.
Level 5:
- 943.554 Coastal Navigation and Passage Planning (25 credits): This module focuses on planning and conducting coastal and offshore passages, and determining a vessel's position.
- 943.555 Electronic navigation aids (10 credits): This module covers the planning and conduct of coastal and offshore passages, determining a vessel's position using electronic navigation aids, and demonstrating safe operation of these aids.
- 943.556 General knowledge – orals prep SCO (13 credits): This module focuses on maintaining safety onboard a coastal and offshore vessel.
- 943.557 Stability SCO (15 credits): This module focuses on maintaining vessel stability.
