Program Structure:
The Graduate Certificate in Applied eLearning requires the completion of four courses (60 credits):
- 906.708 Facilitating online communities (15 credits): This course offers participants the theoretical framework and practical experience necessary to become effective and reflective facilitators of online learning communities.
- 906.710 Special topic (15 credits): This course allows participants to explore an in-depth topic of their choosing, with a direct application to their intended teaching or eLearning development, relevant to their specific discipline.

Entry Requirements:
- Academic Requirements:
- Have an undergraduate qualification or other evidence that the applicant is capable of study at Level 7;
- OR has completed a Tertiary Teaching qualification at Level 5 and/or has relevant teaching experience.
- English Language Entry Requirements:
- Applicants must have sufficient competence in the English language to undertake this program, which is taught and assessed in English.
- Any applicant whose first language is not English may be required to provide evidence of an overall IELTS (Academic band score of 7.0 or better with a minimum of 6.5 for writing, or equivalent.
- Exception:
- Applicants who have not attained the age of 20 years and do not hold the required minimum entry requirements may be eligible to be enrolled in exceptional circumstances. Such decisions will be made by the appropriate Head of Practice and will be determined on a case by case basis.
- Special & Discretionary Admission:
- Any ākonga who is 20 years of age or older and has not reached the general admission requirements for their intended program is eligible for Special Admission. Te Pūkenga works with the ākonga to ensure they are prepared for their intended program.
- Any ākonga who is not yet 20 years of age and has not reached the general admission requirements for their intended program may be eligible for Discretionary Admission. In assessing whether to grant Discretionary Admission, the delegated authority focuses on the applicant’s level of preparedness for their intended program.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- IELTS (Academic): Overall band score of 7.0 or better with a minimum of 6.5 for writing, or equivalent.
