Program Overview
The Joint 3/2 Degree in Art and Design, BA - Digital Media Arts & Engineering MDMAE program combines seven semesters of Art & Design coursework with three semesters of MDMAE studies. Students complete a minor or major outside of the School of Art and take courses in digital media production, interactive design, and advanced programming. The program culminates in a capstone production team project and awards both a BA in Art and an MDMAE degree.

- Advising: An Advising Plan is required before students advance beyond any 2000-level course.
- Upper Level Courses: A minimum of 30 semester hours in courses numbered 3000 or above is required (15 of which must be at the 4000 level).
- Credits in Art: The maximum number of credits in all ART courses that can be taken for this degree is 42.
- Required Minor or Major: All students in the BA in Art and Design must enroll in a minor or dual major outside the School of Art, or a course of study approved by the department. Students pursuing the Joint 3/2 BA & MDMAE dual degree program should consider the DMAE minor.
- Natural Sciences Sequence: For General Education Natural Sciences, both physical & life sciences must be taken: six hours in a physical/life science sequence; three hours in an area (phys/life) not previously selected.
