Program Overview
The Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (MS) – MD Track at the University of Central Florida is designed for medical students to concurrently pursue a Hospitality and Tourism MS. The program aims to enhance students' industry knowledge, management skills, and understanding of hospitality models within medical practice. Students can choose from 15 elective courses and complete an independent learning project with a strategic audit and reflective paper.

Degree Overview:
The Master of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management (MS) – MD Track is designed for UCF medical students who want to pursue a Hospitality and Tourism MS concurrently with their medical degree. The program aims to:
- Build on students' strengths and interests: The program allows students to leverage their existing knowledge and skills.
- Broaden industry knowledge: Students gain a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry.
- Sharpen management skills: The program equips students with essential management skills.
- Incorporate professional and extracurricular experiences: Students can integrate their real-world experiences into their studies.
- Effect a cultural change in the practice of medicine: The program introduces the concept of hospitality and service-oriented business models to medical practice.

- Track Prerequisites:
- Students with undergraduate majors in Hospitality Management or Business Administration do not have undergraduate course prerequisites, provided they have completed an undergraduate course in statistics or applied quantitative analysis with a grade of "C" or higher.
- Industry professionals with an undergraduate degree in a discipline other than Hospitality Management or Business Administration may need to complete two undergraduate courses (STA 2014, STA 2023, or HFT 3930) with a grade of "B" or higher within the first year of the program.
