Program Overview
This 10-week online program empowers healthcare professionals to critically reflect on their learning and professional development. Through interactive discussions, live contact days, and a written assignment, participants enhance their skills in professional judgment, personal and professional planning, and evidence-based decision-making. Led by experienced academic staff, the program supports lifelong learning and is suitable for registered nurses with English language proficiency.

- Critically reflect on professional learning in their career to date.
- Analyse personal and professional objectives in relation to current service needs and sign up to a learning agreement.
- Discuss the personal and professional skills required to achieve a personal and professional development plan.
- Examine types of evidence used to justify decisions and professional judgments in healthcare.
- Critically discuss the factors that influence being a professional in the context of current healthcare.
- Learning Methods:
- 10-week module with 8 weeks of online delivery and 2 weeks of preparation for academic summative assessment.
- 4 interactive topic learning guides for student learning.
- 4 online asynchronous discussion forums to facilitate student sharing and build a learning community.
- Online delivery through the University's Virtual Learning Environment, Moodle.
- 4 live MS Team-based contact days with recorded lectures and interactive small group sessions.
- 2 x 1-hour drop-in sessions during module delivery.
- Recorded lectures and weblinks to applicable videos for additional support.
- Independent study of at least 15 hours per week.
- 3,000-word written assignment.
