This short course appraises the needs and requirements of contract performance management in an operations and project environment. It demonstrates the application and effectiveness of tools and techniques in controlling commercial contracts. It explores several performance issues and tools and analyses how effective they can be in their application.
Objectives:
Through engagement and participation with this course, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to:
- Appraise the importance of contract performance management and the role of negotiation in establishing performance measures.
- Establish key performance measures and their corresponding criteria in relation to the project business environment and deliverables.
- Critically appraise key contract and project monitoring and control techniques and their importance in achieving a successful outcome.
- Assess the different tools and techniques used in managing and supervising contractor performance.
Assessment:
The module is assessed through a submission of an individual report.
