Outline:
Year 1:
- Introduction to key business functions (marketing, finance, human resource management)
- Specialist modules in economics, the digital business environment, and sustainability management
- Development of intellectual and practical skills to form the foundation for the degree
Year 2:
- Continued studies in Aberdeen or one semester abroad
- Modules focusing on the chosen specialism, including personal and business finance, and business economics
- Building on the foundations from Year 1 with an emphasis on entrepreneurship and business law
Year 3:
- Four options:
- Year-long placement
- Academic year at a partner institution abroad
- Taught route
- ‘Connect to Business’ route (flexible tailoring to individual interests and career aspirations)
Year 4:
- Strategic and global focus
- Examination of key international organizations
- Exploration of corporate financial decision-making
- Independent research project in the form of a thesis with guidance and support from a Thesis Supervisor

Learning Methods:
- Large group learning (approximately 25% of time)
- Small group tutorials or computer lab environment (approximately 75% of time)
- Year 2: Business Ideas and Opportunities module promotes business creativity, generating and developing viable commercial ideas in multidisciplinary teams, culminating in an annual Trade Fair
- Year 3: Connect to Business option involves short-term financial/economic projects with various organizations, developing employability skills through work-related experiences
- CampusMoodle (Virtual Learning Environment) provides access to course resources, enhancing learning and keeping students updated on assignments

Activity Summary:
- Lectures: 80 students per group, 3-6 hours per week
- Seminars: 25 students per group, 4 hours per week
- Tutorials: 25 students per group, 6 hours per week
- Project Supervision: 1-to-1 with a supervisor, up to 2 hours per week (in Year 4)
