Objective:

This semester-long Pre-master's Programme (PMP) provides an entry route for international students to pursue a one-year full-time Master's degree at London Metropolitan University.


Target Audience:

The program is designed to support students who have completed their undergraduate/bachelor's education overseas and require additional skills and knowledge to successfully transition into postgraduate study.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


EU Home Students:

  • Completion of a Secure English Language Test (IELTS with an overall score of 6.5, TOEFL with an overall score of 87, or PTE with an overall score of 58) that meets the English language requirements for an extended master's programme.
  • Successful evidence of educational achievement in the UK (either a higher diploma or an honours degree) and/or completion of an associate degree or bachelor's degree or equivalent.

International Overseas Students (outside the EU):

  • Completion of a Secure English Language Test that meets the English language requirements for an extended master's programme.
  • Successful evidence of educational achievement in the country of origin (either a higher diploma or an honours degree) and/or completion of an associate degree or bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Students from countries where English is not the official language may need to provide additional evidence of their English language proficiency.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

The Pre-master's Programme requires students to demonstrate a high level of English language proficiency. The following are the minimum English language requirements for admission:


IELTS:

6.5 overall, with no individual score below 6.0

  • Students who do not meet the English language requirements may be required to take an English language course before starting the Pre-master's Programme.
  • The University may consider alternative evidence of English language proficiency on a case-by-case basis.
