Entrepreneurship & Leadership

Overview

The 3-month programme in Entrepreneurship’s main objective is to develop participants entrepreneurial skills, mindset and behaviour. The modules are designed for those wanting to utilise and further explore their own creative potential aiming for self-development and growth. The modules are based on case study methodology and interactive team-work activities. Planning, risk analysis, creativity, innovation, presenting a business idea are some of the important areas.

Course Programme

The course is made up of One Core module and a maximum of 5 elective modules which vary according to the ESE centre. Participants will be able to analyse and evaluate the policies and principles that best promote a customer-focused culture and learn how to successfully manage a team to obtain this objective.


  • Course Duration: 3 months
  • Optional Industry Experience and Professional Development / Internship may take place only where visa permits and for time to be determined and not to exceed 3 months.
  • Language of Instruction: English
  • Level of Instruction: While the information you will access is invaluable, this is a non-credit course. Most students have achieved a High-School Diploma or equivalent, yet the participants’ age will typically be from 18-35 yrs old, and the level of the course is determined by the cohorts. Instructors are established professors in their fields and act as a springboard for anyone looking to enter this highly competitive field.
  • Course Assessment: This course is assignment-based. You will usually have both a Project and Presentation to complete.

Credits & Recognition

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will be awarded an ESE Certification.


ESE's Internship Programme

Upon successful completion of the programme, participants may be eligible for Industry Experience / Internship (only where visa permits) tailored to their profile and career objectives. The ESE Placement department will conduct an assessment to evaluate the individual student’s eligibility and assist them in finding a suitable position. Regardless of visa status, Career Counseling Services and CV Development are available for all students.

Entry Requirements

Entrance to the ESE Short Course programmes requires the Completion of the Online Application form and submission of the following documents to the Admissions Office at the ESE centre of interest:


  • Resume / CV (including reference to all previous education)
  • Personal Statement if not attached to the application form
  • Good command of the English language (IELTS/TOEFL scores are a plus)
  • Photocopy of Passport/ ID document
  • A photograph (passport-sized)

Maximum Number of Attendees

25 per term (In order to provide a unique learning experience with a ratio between Professor to students, no more than 25 students will be admitted into this programme per term)

ESE has a rolling admissions system and as such there is no deadline for applications for a particular intake. However, given the limited number of places on the programme, we recommend that you present your application as early as possible.


Scholarships

The scholarship awarded by ESE is a partial deduction from the tuition fee where each student profile is considered individually, based on both the academic merit and need of the applicant. It is therefore important that scholarship applications provide a complete profile of the student’s personal, professional and/or academic merits.


To apply for the ESE Scholarship students must complete the scholarship application form and send it together with the application form and personal documents, including a financial statement.
