Construction Techniques - Brick and Stone (Waterloo)

Degree Overview:

This program provides in-depth theoretical and hands-on training for the brick and stone masonry trade. You will learn the skills to create walls and features with brick, stone, and other masonry materials, using both advanced power tools and classic hand tools. The program covers various aspects of the trade, including heritage, refractory, and new commercial and residential masonry.

Objectives:

• Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to work as a brick and stone mason.
• Gain experience with various masonry materials and tools.
• Prepare for a career in the construction industry.

Outline:

The program consists of two semesters, with a total of 14 weeks of instruction. Each week includes 30 hours of classroom and lab time.
