Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent:

  • English (Grade 12 C or U)
  • Six additional Grade 12 U or M courses, including four credits in:
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • A Group 1 subject (English, French as a Second Language, Native Language, Social Sciences and Humanities, Canadian and World Studies, Guidance and Career Education, Cooperative Education)
  • A Group 2 subject (Arts, Business Studies, French as a Second Language, Native Language, Social Sciences and Humanities, Canadian and World Studies, Technology, Computer Studies, Health and Physical Education, Cooperative Education)

Mature Student Policy:

  • Applicants who are 19 years of age or older and do not meet the OSSD requirements may be considered for admission based on their life and work experience.

Advanced Standing:

  • Applicants who have completed a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field may be eligible for advanced standing.

International Students:

  • Applicants who have completed secondary school outside of Canada must meet the equivalent of the OSSD requirements.
  • Applicants whose first language is not English must demonstrate English language proficiency by achieving a minimum score on one of the following tests:
  • TOEFL iBT:
  • 88 overall with a minimum of 20 in each section
  • IELTS Academic:
  • 6.5 overall with a minimum of 6.0 in each section
  • PTE Academic:
  • 65 overall with a minimum of 56 in each section
  • CAE:
  • 176 overall with a minimum of 169 in each section
  • CPE:
  • 176 overall with a minimum of 169 in each section

Additional Requirements:

  • Applicants may be required to submit a portfolio of their work.
  • Applicants may be required to attend an interview.
