Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent,
with six Grade 12 U or M courses including:
- English (ENG4U or ENG4C)
- Mathematics (MDM4U, MCV4U, MHF4U, or MCR3U)
- Physics (SPH4U or SPH4C)
- Chemistry (SCH4U or SCH4C)
- Two additional courses from the following:
- Mathematics (MDM4U, MCV4U, MHF4U, MCR3U, MTH4U, or MHF4C)

Mature Students:
- Applicants who do not meet the standard academic requirements may be considered for mature student status if they are 19 years of age or older as of the first day of classes and have been out of high school for at least one year. Mature students may be required to take a placement test or complete a college-level course in order to demonstrate their academic preparedness.
International Students:
- Secondary School Leaving Certificate: Completion of secondary school equivalent to the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) with a minimum overall average of 70% including the required courses listed above.
- English Language Proficiency: A minimum score of 6.0 on the IELTS Academic test, or a comparable score on another recognized English language proficiency test.
Language Proficiency Requirements:
- IELTS Academic: Overall score of 6.0 with no band below 5.5.
- TOEFL iBT: Overall score of 80 with no score below 20.
- Cambridge English Advanced (CAE): Overall score of 176 with no skill below 169.
- PTE Academic: Overall score of 65 with no score below 54.

These are the minimum English language proficiency requirements. Some programs may have higher requirements.

- Applicants with a strong academic background in mathematics, science, and technology are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a strong interest in embedded systems development, as demonstrated through their academic record and extracurricular activities.
- Applicants may be required to complete an interview as part of the admissions process. The admissions requirements may change for future intakes.
