This part-time IT Project Management program equips students with the skills and knowledge to effectively manage IT projects throughout their lifecycle. Through a combination of practical exercises, simulations, and case studies, students gain hands-on experience in applying their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The program culminates in a supervised project where students take full responsibility for a project from inception to completion. This involves research, development, and presentation of the project, including a major deliverable, such as a software package, design, website, or research findings.
• Digital Transformation: Gain an understanding of the context, challenges, future potential, leadership, and management involved in digital transformation.
Develop the skills to create a digital transformation strategy for an organization.
• Managing Projects with PRINCE2®: Explore the established PRINCE2® governance methodology through simulations and critical review.
Learn about the structure, processes, documentation, terminology, and tailoring of the method for specific projects.
• Project Management Philosophies and Tools: Develop a comprehensive understanding of the evolving discipline of project management and its expanding range of tools and frameworks.
• Research Methods: Equip yourself with the knowledge and skills needed to conduct research in the field of computing, including evaluation of previous research, data generation, research ethics, and user experience.
• Risk Management in Projects: Explore advanced risk management concepts and techniques, including identification, analysis, response planning, PERT, and monitoring.
