Program Overview
Through a combination of classroom attendance and independent learning, participants will develop their abilities in image interpretation and commenting, supported by expert faculty and clinical practitioners. This module can be taken as a standalone for professional development or as part of the MSc Advanced Medical Imaging program.

Entry Requirements
Previous study and experience:
- Degree: You must hold a degree in BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or another healthcare professional qualification. The degree must have a minimum grade of 2:1 or above.
- Clinical placement: For clinically related modules, you must have access to a relevant imaging caseload and the support of a clinical mentor. The University of Salford cannot guarantee or arrange clinical placements for you.
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
- If you do not meet the formal entry requirements but have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully, you may be eligible for Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL). This process can be used to gain entry onto courses or to claim exemptions from parts of your course.
- Two forms of APL may be used:
- Accreditation of Prior Certificated Learning (APCL): This considers your previous qualifications.
- Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL): This considers relevant work experience or other achievements.
