Assessment:
The majority of the MA is assessed through coursework, which takes various forms depending on the modules studied. Methods include written assignments, research proposals, portfolio work, and individual and group presentations. The optional module "Advanced Statistics for Psychology and the Behavioural Sciences" is assessed by examination. The MA dissertation, comprising one-third of the program's credits, is assessed through a 12,000-word written report.

Home and EU students
- An honours degree at 2:1 (or equivalent).
- Significant relevant experience will also be considered.
International students outside the EU
- An honours degree at 2:1 (or equivalent) from a UK university or an overseas institution recognized by Durham University.
- Evidence of English language proficiency at a level equivalent to IELTS 6.5 overall, with no less than 6.0 in any individual band.
