  • The course is 9 months full-time or 18 months part-time and is suitable for students with backgrounds in humanities, social sciences, health, and social care.
  • The curriculum covers key health challenges, debates about the social, political, and economic environments of health, illness, and medicine, and advanced skills in interpreting and using data.
  • Students will learn about concepts like critical medical humanities, health research methodologies, illness narratives, medical law, and neurodiversity.

Assessment:

  • Assessment formats include essays, annotated bibliography entries, critical commentaries, project proposals, and Student Devised Assessments (SDAs).
  • Assessment tasks will challenge students to deliver study findings using creative and context-appropriate methods.
