Program Overview

SIT2LRN's Distance Learning Fashion program provides students with the skills and knowledge to design and create fashion garments. The course covers various aspects of garment construction and design, including materials, pattern adaptation, garment construction, and fashion drawing. Upon completion, graduates may pursue careers as clothing designers, pattern makers, or sewing and clothing machinists. The program is offered remotely in New Zealand, allowing students to learn at their own pace.

• US4838 Describe knowledge of clothing materials in the clothing industry (3 credits)
• US6685 Adapt a commercial pattern for a garment (5 credits)
• US6692 Prepare for and construct a leisure garment (5 credits)
• US16837 Prepare for and produce fashion drawings (3 credits)
