Program Overview


The MSc International Business with Work Placement Year program at SOAS equips students with a comprehensive understanding of global business strategies and societal challenges. Degree Overview:

The MSc International Business with Work Placement Year program at SOAS provides students with a foundation in corporate strategy and actions to address societal challenges in global markets. The program fosters individual cultural intelligence for effective communication, negotiation, and work in multicultural business environments. It prepares graduates for careers in global firms, start-ups, or international trade and investment policy. Interactive teaching and learning allow students to develop critical perspectives on the changing dynamics of multinational and small businesses and their external environments.

The program comprises 180 credits, encompassing 120 taught credits from core, compulsory, and optional modules and a 60-credit dissertation. The core modules include:

Teaching:

Masters programs (with the exception of two-year full-time MAs) consist of 180 credits, made up of taught modules of 30 or 15 credits, taught over 10 or 20 weeks, and a dissertation of 60 credits.


Careers:

Graduates from the School of Finance and Management leave SOAS with a coherent and solid knowledge of management and finance, with skills in statistics and computing, critical reasoning and analytical thinking.
