Careers:

Graduates can pursue careers in lead, supervisory, or management positions at the retail store level.
They can also pursue careers as specialists/analysts within a retail department or corporate headquarters, such as in Category Management, Buying and Merchandising, Key Account Management, and Sales/Marketing positions.

Completion of a Level 8 program will also enable students to undertake taught Masters programs or Masters degrees by Research at SETU Waterford or other third-level Colleges.

Other:

The program includes an educational trip to Paris/London in the third year.
Students have the option to pursue a work placement or study abroad in semester 5.
A series of fashion seminars and lectures are delivered by industry leaders to keep students up-to-date on trends and industry developments.

Admission Requirements

Leaving Certificate (Irish High School Exam):

Minimum entry requirements:

5 subjects: O6/H7

English or Irish: O6/H7

Mathematics: O6/H7

QQI FET/FETAC Entry(Irish Vocational Education & Training):

Mature Entry Route:

Applicants over 23 years of age without formal qualifications may be considered through an interview process.

Portfolio (for applicants who do not have formal qualifications)

Important Notes:

Application deadlines vary depending on Leaving Certificate results.

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with an overall score of 6.5 or higher.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with an overall score of 80 or higher.

SETU offers an Advanced Entry programme for qualified students who have completed relevant qualifications at other institutions.
The programme team welcomes applications from mature students, regardless of formal qualifications.
Students who complete this programme may choose to pursue a one-year top-up to achieve a Level 8 degree.
