Program Description:

The MSc Cyber Security Apprenticeship is a 27-month program, offered part-time, with students attending one day a week. The first year covers core modules, with the second year focusing on your individual project. The program integrates theoretical knowledge with practical experience through real-world scenarios in our virtual cyber security laboratory.


Outcome:

Upon successful completion, you will receive a Master of Science (MSc) in Cyber Security and achieve a Level 7 apprenticeship qualification.

Admission Requirements

Entry Requirements:


UK:

  • Applicants must hold at least an upper second-class honours degree from a UK institution (or the equivalent from an international institution) in Computer Science or a related discipline with some mathematical content.
  • Relevant industrial experience may be considered for entry to this course as well.
  • Applicants with international qualifications should have the equivalent of a UK Upper Second Class.
  • Applicants whose native language is different from English, you will need to meet the minimum English language criteria for entry to postgraduate study at City.

Additional Requirements:

  • Level 2 or above passes in English Literature or English Language along with Maths are required to achieve the required 40 tariff points.
  • Candidates without these qualifications may be required to have completed a degree level course which is at least 20-credits in length covering the following units:
  • English in context
  • English for academic writing
  • English for communication skills
  • Maths
  • Applicants should be employed in an organization that supports your enrolment in the degree as part of your training.
  • You must be a UK or EU national with the right to work in the UK.

Language Proficiency Requirements:

If English is not your first language, or you require a Student Visa to study in the UK, you will need to show evidence of your skills. City accepts a variety of standardized English language tests (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, CPE).


For this course, the minimum English language requirements are:
